Code of Conduct: On Set with Blu Wedding Films
1. Be Punctual
Arrive on time and be ready to assist as soon as you arrive. Early is on time.
2. Dress Appropriately
Wear all-black, professional attire with comfortable shoes. Stay discreet and blend in with guests.
3. Follow the Lead
Always take direction from the lead videographers (Brandon/Nicole). Ask questions if you're unsure but avoid interrupting important moments.
4. Stay Alert & Aware
Watch the schedule and environment. Anticipate what’s needed next (gear prep, battery swaps, etc.).
5. Respect the Couple & Guests
Be polite, professional, and low-key. Avoid interfering with guests or important moments.
6. Handle Gear With Care
Double-check all gear before use. Handle cameras, lenses, batteries, and other equipment with caution and professionalism.
7. Stay Off Your Phone
Unless you’re checking shot lists, timelines, or communicating with Brandon/Nicole, keep your phone away.
8. Keep it Quiet & Calm
No unnecessary talking during filming. Maintain a calm, supportive energy throughout the day.
9. Communicate Clearly
If something goes wrong or you need support, communicate it quickly and respectfully.
10. Represent the Brand Well
You’re a reflection of the Blu Wedding Films team. Carry yourself with professionalism, respect, and a team-first attitude.
Production Assistant Pay Structure
Standard Day Rate: Based on 8 Hours of Work
We split our assistant roles into two tiers based on responsibility level:
Tier 1: Videographer Support Role – $200/day
🎥 Includes shooting responsibilities
You will:
Be expected to capture b-roll or ceremony/reception footage on your own
Operate a camera confidently when assigned
Anticipate and assist with filming throughout the day
May receive increased pay ($225–$250) based on complexity and hours
💵 Base Pay: $200
💬 Bonus may be added if day is especially heavy or requires advanced coverage
Tier 2: Assistant Role – $120/day
🛠️ No solo shooting responsibilities
You will:
Assist with gear transport, setup, and takedown
Set up tripods, light stands, lights, and audio as directed
Keep batteries charged and support the lead videographers (Brandon/Nicole)
Stay available throughout the day to assist with needs
💵 Base Pay: $120
Additional Notes
If the day runs longer than 8 hours, additional pay will be discussed ahead of time
Meals are typically provided during weddings — we’ll let you know otherwise
Payment is typically issued via direct deposit within 7 business days of the event
